Valentine’s Day! <3

It may be no surprise to anyone, but Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for! Since we’re still trying to get into the swing of things, we aren’t able to decorate as much as I wish I could.  I was still able to put some cute things together, and I really like the way they turned out!

The first thing that I was able to make was a wreath that I found on mrspollyrodgers.com.  She has some amazing ideas, and I have to admit that this idea was not my own in any way, but I thought I would give you my experience of making it!

I started by buying a pie tin from the dollar store as well as these hearts from the dollar store.  I then cut out the inside of the pie tin so there was only the outer rim left.

I then took a hot glue gun and glued the hearts onto the ring.  It was so easy to do! I then made sure that they were all secured on by flipping it over and going back around with the hot glue gun.

I then painted on some elmers glue and sprinkled on some glitter! The glitter I used was from the Martha Stewart line.  It turned out really cute, and I love it!  It really looks great on our front door!  In total, the wreath only cost me around $5.00!

The second Valentine’s Day decoration that I put together is a vase that I filled up with some candy hearts from the dollar store, and then put a candle in.  It’s a wonderful addition to our dining room table, and it was incredibly easy.

So this is what I decided to do for Valentine’s Day this year, and I hope this inspires you to get crafty, and that it really doesn’t take a lot of money to get a cute product!
